Their Story

The story begins with a night out in Orlando at a social event. There was a moment—THE MOMENT—when Jossue saw the most beautiful girl walking by. She was glowing with beauty. He immediately pushed through the crowd, sweaty face and all, to get to her. Once he reached her, he poured out his heart and told her that she was the woman he had been waiting for his entire life!

Despite his sweaty face from dancing bachata all night with the wrong women, she didn't say no or walk away. Instead, she laughed and entertained his bold declaration. After a night of amazing dancing, laughing, and overall joy with his soon-to-be wife, the social ended, and they parted ways. Jossue was so caught up in his feelings and admiration of this beautiful glowing woman that he almost made the mistake of not getting her contact information, mainly her Instagram. That was back in 2017, and things were complicated at the time. However, they never lost touch. They spoke for hours—sometimes five or six hours at a time—over the phone, discussing their lives, views, and goals.

In 2019, an opportunity arose for Alcrist to move to Miami, which was only four hours away from where Jossue was living in Tampa. He didn't want to let this chance pass by, so they met in Orlando at Dave & Buster's. Crazy, right? The same city where they first met. They had an amazing night filled with goofy moments, laughter, and incredible conversations. It marked the beginning of something beautiful. When COVID struck, they were forced to stay at home and get to know each other even more. During that time, it was officially confirmed in Jossue’s soul, in his being, that she was the one he wanted to be with for his entire life. It was a feeling he had from the beginning, but it was confirmed during their time together in lockdown.

He asked Alcrist, “Would you move to Tampa?” and she said yes. He knew he had to be the best man he could ever be because she trusted him enough to make the move. When she moved to Tampa, they started planning their future together. They went through emotional highs and lows, from traveling the world to losing the most important people in their lives, but they managed to stay together and get through everything. The most important part of their story is that Jesus Christ truly became the center of their relationship, and the foundation of this amazing love story. Since then, Jossue proposed to this beautiful woman that he gets to enjoy life with, and she said yes. They planned a wedding, and now they’re here, inviting their family and friends to witness the beautiful love story that God has created.
